Hi,
I’m Kristen!
I did what many people do: go to art school.
After finishing my undergraduate degree in Fine Arts at Loyola Marymount University and my master's degree in Sculpture at Cal State University, Northridge, I dove into the world of entrepreneurship because it turns out, creative thinking is also perfect for running a business! 
I have had to learn how to manage my time, self motivate, and forge my own path and push through all the self-doubt and imposter syndrome that comes along with that, to continue making art and running the creative business I’ve always felt called to do!
I now have 3 self-published picture books sold in 20+ local stores which has become the backbone of my business. After doing the work and making it to the other side, I can see more clearly what worked and what didn’t.
I love teaching other passionate people how extremely doable it is to turn their own story into a real-life children’s book and share it with the world - in my course Publish That Picture Book!
I married a big dreamer like me, and we now have 2 little girls who have big dreams too, like popsicles for breakfast and sprinkle soup for dinner.
The days are filled with making snacks, hauling bags, and new discoveries everyday. Any cracks of time that I have is when I make new things and run my business, it’s like trying to herd cats while juggling slippery fruit and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
My picture books are all about exploring the beauty of Bend, Oregon and doing what you love.
My Courses are all about how to get your own story self-published and into your own ready-to-sell picture book.
